A New Football Season
Aug 20th, 2009 by Coach DeLorm
Tis the season of grass stains and two-a-days. I love this time of year as a football coach because it is a chance to prove your worth once again on the football field. Wherever you turn, you hear about football or coaching football. As a football coach, our job is never done even in the off-season we are out there recruiting or scheming for the next season. I found a great resource that will help new football coaches and even the most seasoned football coach refresh their knowledge with a look around this American football coach website. This time of year also brings about the some questions.
Usually the biggest is where do we go from here as a football program and as an American football coaching staff? On any level of football you have to answer that question and depending on how you answer it makes or breaks your season. Even if your livelihood is being a football coach, finding a job in this tough economy is even tougher these days. With the inevitable closure of the AFL and the creation of the United Football League, there are new and strange times ahead for football coaches. In these tough times football leagues that tried to expand to fast or were on shaky financial ground before have completely collapsed. Leaving many good football coaches out of work. On the other hand, the smaller leagues and more establish football leagues are growing with their affordable entertainment prices.
So heres to all the American football players and football coaches out there, wishing you good luck and a healthy season. May you’re your players feet be fast and their minds strong. Take that sense of new promise and make it your own.
