What Does It Take To Be A Motivator?
Apr 2nd, 2008 by Coach DeLorm
My fellow coaches and I talk frequently about what it takes to be a great coach. And almost in unanimous agreement we think “X’s” and “O’s” are overrated. That’s right technique and play calling are a distant second to motivation. You see a coach can put in 20 hours on the weekend designing an elaborate game plan. He can know his opponents tendencies but if he cannot get his guys to play then he wasted 20 hours of his weekend.
