How Much Do Football Coaches Make?
Sep 27th, 2007 by Coach DeLorm
So I was browsing around the net and found this article that had a lot of interesting information. The Article was published las October in the Palm Beach Post. Seems that Florida high school football coaches are leaving the state and going to Georgia to coach. They complain of the low stipend that they are being paid for coaching football. Head Coaches got paid $3,950 to $5,582 last year on top of their teaching salaries. In Georgia they range from $7,574 to $9,089 based on experience. Plus Boosters have the ability to raise money for coaches too.
So here is he article if you want to read it for yourself. I thought it was very good reading and makes the point of why there should be an hourly range or pay structure to make sure the good coaches stay .
