Perfect Effort: Must Watch DVD for Any Coach
Oct 24th, 2007 by Coach DeLorm
I recently came across a DVD that should be apart of every football coaches library. The DVD is entitled Perfect Effort a documentary chronicling the 2000 season of the De La Salle High School football program in Concord, CA. You might remember this program as the one with the longest unbeaten streak in the nation which ended at 151 back in 2004. The DVD is full of great coaching moments and the 2000 team had plenty of talent besides. Some of the Names you will see are Jonathan Tucker, NFL pros Matt Gutierrez, Demetrius Williams and Kevin Simon. Even see a certain Hiesmen Trophy winner in his high school years. All of these athletes fill the DVD with tons of great highlights. Keep an eye out for a little running back that currently stars for the Jags called Maurice Jones-Drew.The whole DVD really showcases the coaching strengths of Coach Ladouceur and his staff. He really shows how he has motivated and managed the most dominate high school football program in the nation.
Below is a Trailer for the DVD:
