So this past week the drama finally was ended with Terrelle Pryor. if you have been out of the loop then you have missed out the biggest recruiting battle this century. He had narrowed the the decision to a handful of schools including Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and pretty much anyone else he wanted play for next season. This two sport athlete had the college football world by its boot straps and could do no wrong until he made the decision to attend “The Ohio State”.
he gave the reason of choosing OSU over rival Michigan because he felt he could learn from the senior leadership and have the opportunity to play a role like Tim Tebow did when he joined the Florida Gators. From a players standpoint would you go to a program with a coach that has a proven track record for starting underclassmen and has a spread offense scheme that would allow you to break every record in the book or go to a school with a proven record of corrupting young athletes. Need I remind you of Maurice Clarett?
Pryor is a phenomenal athlete with some great god given talents. As a parent what would you do? As a coach how would you utilize him on your team? Start him right away or red-shirt him? These are question that you have to keep in mind when you are on the recruiting trail and looking for the best things for you players at the next level.
Here is a highlight video of Pryor so you can see the talent that OSU is gaining:
