Hampden-Sydney College
Dear Hampden-Sydney College:
Your advertisement on the footballjobs.com website for assistant football coach sparked my interest. Please accept this letter and the enclosed resume as my application for the position. Let me briefly explain how I can contribute to HSC.
With quality experience working at Averett University in both athletics and student life, working with college students is definitely my passion. Even though I have not had the chance to continue my career in coaching since 2005, football is where my heart belongs. I have a strong desire to become employed in the field of sports management and perhaps head coach of a football program one day. I have had the opportunity to function in a variety of educational and employment settings making it easy to adapt to new situations and faculty concepts. I believe that student-athletes can discover satisfaction through good performance at school, having a good work ethic, and learning to appreciate the benefits of socialization, sportsmanship, and personal achievement all through athletics.
Please accept this letter as an expression of my genuine interest in starting my career with Hampden-Sydney College. I will produce an energizing and motivated environment that will bring out the best in student-athletes and co-workers around me and build upon what Hampden-Sydney College has already established.
Sincerely,
Jason Everson
