While the Husker football team has had it’s ups and downs over the years, one thing has remained consistent: Sell-out crowds at Memorial Stadium. Lincoln’s Memorial Stadium was built in just over 90 working-days in 1922. It was named in honor of all Nebraskans who served in the Spanish-American Wars, the civil war, and World War I — it would later honor those Nebraskans that served in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam.
